S-oxprenolol

S-oxprenolol is an anabolic/catabolic transforming agent based on oxprenolol, a beta-blocker used for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and arrhythmias.  It targets the same three biological mechanisms related to cachexia as MT-102 (Espindolol): anabolism, catabolism and fatigue/appetite.

Actimed has world-wide rights to use S-oxprenolol for the treatment of cancer cachexia. We view S-oxprenolol as a further opportunity in the field of cachexia and wasting disorders, and a number of options exist to develop this molecule, including licensing the rights to a third party.
